Margot Wallström Joins University of Lund in a new high-profile job

Margot Wallström is reported to succeed Allan Larsson as Chairman of the Board of Lund University in a new high profile job for the Swedish heavyweight.

She will take over on 20 April and would have to continue until 30 April 2013.
Margot Wallstrom has been working as UN Special Representative on matters relating to sexual violence in conflict.

She has extensive experience in government work including Social Security and Culture.
Since 2004 she has served as European Commissioner.

"It's incredibly inspiring to work with Margot Wallstrom. Her knowledge and experience, will benefit greatly Sweden's most international university, "said Lund University Vice-Chancellor Per Eriksson.
