Telia dismisses top managers as it tries to clean it face

Swedish / Finnish telecoms company, TeliaSonara has decided to dismiss
some core executives also known as “absolute elite”. Four people were
forced out, including vice president and CFO Per-Arne Blomquist.
Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri reports on Friday that
president Marie Ehrling decided to make the purge after having
commissioned an international law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright, to
delve into all the scandalous businesses the company was associated
with in the on the recent years which has gone as far as costing
a CEO and chairman job.
"The Board's conclusion is that some senior executives no longer have
the confidence of the board. Therefore, they have been notified that
their jobs will be completed and that they leave their posts with
immediate effect, "said Chairwoman Marie Ehrling.
Moreover, Telia is also reported to be passing over the evidence the law firm has gathered to the prosecutors.
Executive Vice President and CFO Per-Arne Blomquist, will leave his

TeliaSonera's Mobility Services. Johan Dennelind, President and CEO of
TeliaSonera referred to the much criticized business in
Uzbekistan as the driver of the dismissal of Tero Kivisaari .
Tero Kivisaari is one of the managers at the telecoms operator suspected of bribery in connection with these transactions.
