Wednesday, 18 July 2012
Swedish banks hit by internet virus as persistent attacks on Swedish company sites continues.

It happened that SEB customers could not log into this online bank account and therefore called customer support. Then it turned out that someone had sent a payment of two million accounts into his account from the man's account to Poland.

Then what happen is that the man's computer had been infected by the virus Zbot.gen! Y  according to Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet and indicates that it is the browsers Microsoft Explorer and Mozilla Firefox that are hard hit.

The virus can access both Explorer and Firefox, and interfering in their code space, which means that anyone can do basically anything with the browser, according to the paper.

Two Swedish banks, SEB and Swedbank are the banks typically hit. Signs that have been affected by the virus is that it takes an unusually long time to log into their online bank accounts.
