Volvo car CEO, Stefan Jacoby hit by stroke

Volvo Cars CEO, Stefan Jacoby has suffered a stroke. Now, car manufacturers have to do without its CEO for a longer period.

 "I was lucky that it was a minor stroke," says Stefan Jacoby said in a statement on Sunday, reports various Swedish media sources.

"I have limited mobility in my right arm and to some extent also in my right leg. I have started rehabilitation and already notice some improvement, "adds the 54-year-old Jacoby in the press release.

According to Volvo Cars' press officer, Per-Ake Froberg,  Stefan Jacoby fell ill just over a week ago and the doctors expect that he can be back to work in a month time.

Stefan Jacoby will hence miss the Paris Motor Show, which opens to the public on Saturday. As Jacoby felt sick yesterday Volvo CFO, Jan Gurander, sat in as Deputy CEO. Some other changes in the daily operation if the company was not expressed by Per-Ake Froberg.

"Stefan is certainly a very important person in the company, but he has a management team that will manage the daily operations in the same way he would normally do," says Froberg, report various Swedish media sources.
