Half of Swedish population is overweight

Sweden is now observing that since the late 1980s, the average Swede has been almost 5kg heavier with Dalarna emerging as the region in the country with the fattest people.
According to the paper Metro, 49 percent of the population is overweight / obese calculated in BMI or body mass Index.
Dalarna is at the top among the counties experiencing fatness. That's 56 percent of the population there reported overweight or obese. Stockholm County has the lowest proportion of obese / overweight, 44 percent, according to the newspaper which compiled statistics from the Swedish Institute of Public Health.
