Swedish Unemployed outsourced to Norway

Nordic Co-operation: Swedish unemployed are being out sourced to Norway where unemployment in falling and there in increased demand for labour. This particularly is moving to affect the youths who are the most affected by job market inflexibility.

In Soderhamn, the municipality and the employment agency has taken a bold move to reduce youth unemployment. Young people are supported to move to Norway and be able to work there, reports radio Sweden.

After a month of preparation in Söderhamn the young people paid a trip to Oslo and it is reported that one month of free accommodation will be provided for the young job seekers. They will also be aided with job coaching from the organization Nordjobb.

Around 100 young people from Söderhamn have already travelled to Norway and most have found jobs almost immediately - an example of Nordic co-operation.
